Indoor sessions on a turbo trainer or similar machine offer cyclists a convenient and effective method of training. The lack of freewheeling results in a constant pedal stroke and the absence of such variables as wind, traffic and road surfaces, ensure a highly-targeted and intense workout that can be hugely beneficial.
